For neck pain caused by nerve compression, treatment and point selection focus on decreasing inflammation of the nerves and herniated disks, rather than the muscle-relaxing approach used for muscle strain.
Fine acupuncture needles are inserted into specific points in the neck and shoulder muscles to help tense muscles relax and reduce pain, while also bringing increased blood flow and circulation to nourish the muscles and help prevent further strain.
Neck pain can be caused by nerve compression (typically from a herniated disk or bone spur), muscle strain from overuse or hunching at a desk (or more severe cases like whiplash), or other diseases such as meningitis or fibromyalgia that cause pain as a secondary symptom.
Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles at specific points on the body, stimulating nerve endings that send signals to the brain. These signals can alter the production of hormones and neurotransmitters, helping to regulate physiological processes that affect mood and stress.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a narrowing of the carpal tunnel in the wrist causing numbness, tingling, burning, itching, or pain in the thumb, index and middle fingers, and half of the ring finger. Symptoms often start gradually at night and, if left untreated, can progress to daytime symptoms and loss of hand strength.
Acupuncture addresses the root causes of PCOS by regulating hormonal balance, improving insulin sensitivity, and reducing stress, helping to restore regular menstrual cycles and reduce excess androgen levels that contribute to symptoms like acne and unwanted hair growth.
The number of acupuncture treatments required can greatly differ from person to person, underscoring the significance of the initial consultation at our clinic. Individuals in the early stages of diagnosis may only need 3 to 6 sessions, while those further along may require 10 to 20 sessions to effectively regain their vision.
There is currently no cure for glaucoma and no way to restore vision already lost. The most common treatment is eye drops that reduce intraocular pressure, along with oral medications. More severe cases may require laser surgery or conventional surgery to improve fluid drainage, though medication may still be needed afterward.
No needles go into the eye. Our clinic uses Microacupuncture and AcuNova, specialized systems for treating eye conditions, stimulating points in the eyebrows, hands, and feet. The goal is to deliver blood, oxygen, and nutrients to the eyes, encourage healing, manage eye pressure, and slow or prevent further vision loss.
Dry eyes can feel gritty, scratchy, stingy, or like something is stuck in the eye. Some people also experience eye redness, light sensitivity, blurry vision, eye fatigue, or episodes of excessive tearing as the eye tries to compensate for the dryness.
