Most Extended Health Benefits cover acupuncture. Check with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage. All products and services are HST exempt.
A custom Chinese herbal formula (200g of granules) costs $120. Formulas typically last 3-6 weeks, depending on dosage and frequency.
A follow-up acupuncture session is 30-45 minutes and costs $120. A laser acupuncture session is 30 minutes and also costs $120.
Specific acupuncture points calm the nerves and decrease agitation by triggering the parasympathetic nervous system, easing the body out of the sympathetic (fight or flight) state that often keeps people awake due to stress, anxiety, or depression.
Acupuncture does not have the side effects associated with medication and does virtually no harm. Some headaches are actually caused by medication overuse, leading to “rebound” headaches, which acupuncture avoids entirely.
