Benefits include improved eye alignment, enhanced blood circulation to eye tissues, reduced eye strain and headaches, and support for overall health issues that may be contributing to the condition.
Acupuncture can help correct muscle imbalance and improve eye coordination by enhancing blood flow and stimulating the nerves involved in eye movement, including the frontal eye field, the region of the brain responsible for controlling eye movement. Treatment involves fine needles at points around the eyes as well as other points on the body.
Treatment typically involves corrective lenses, vision therapy, or surgery to realign the eye muscles. These methods focus on addressing the physical symptoms but may not tackle underlying issues.
Strabismus, commonly known as crossed eyes, is a condition where the eyes do not align properly because the muscles controlling eye movement are imbalanced. This misalignment can lead to double vision, eye strain, and headaches, and can be congenital or develop later in life.
