The first visit takes roughly one hour depending on how many questions and concerns are brought up. The acupuncture session itself is half an hour long, and it’s recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Your first visit is a discovery process to determine the source of your health concerns, including a detailed health history, physical exam, and Tongue and Pulse examination. We may also use screening tests such as a computerized biofeedback device or eye tests if you are seeking help with an eye disease. If we can help, we’ll provide an acupuncture treatment to begin correcting the problem and gauge your body’s rate of response.
Once beginning acupuncture care, a typical visit to our office takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
